Erika to have back-to-back No. 1 singles as 'Free' tops charts Erika poses with a guitar she designed for a poster.Singer Erika's new single "Free" has climbed to the top of the Oricon weekly music rankings that will be released on July 16, showbiz sources said.Erika is the singing stage name of actress Erika Sawajiri. Sawajiri's prior single, "Song of the Sun," which was released in August 2006, also topped the Oricon weekly rankings. Erika is the first female singer to have two back-to-back singles reach No. 1 in the rankings since Hiroko Yakushimaru did so in the 1980s. Erika reportedly sang "Free" dozens of times before settling on the version.
