Today new information, news and comments have been revealed for the upcoming project of Erika. As mentioned earlier, there will be a new movie called "Closed Note" with Erika. Erika plays the main role of the movie and other co-actors are Takeuchi Yuko and Yusuke Iseya. The movie is directed by "Crying Out Love, in the Center of the World" maker Yukisada Isao. In the latest news they describe the story again and the novel it is based on. While Erika plays the heroin, Takeuchi plays the woman teacher who is the original owner of the note.
The producer Haruna Kei comments on Erika: "I think the audience will sympathize with Erika, a girl from the same generation as the character.." ...and about Takeuchi he says the following: "She has the sufficient sympathy to make her appealing to the public, as her life is drastically changed..." The director himself says that he was impressed with Erika's role in "PACCHIGI", "her presence and strong acting abilities were why she was appointed as heroin in this film."
Haruna Kei met Takeuchi Yuko in a bookstore. They both were asking for the same book. There the idea about making a movie for "Closed Note" began. The original work was featured on a Mobile portal from Oct 2004 to Aug 2005 as a novel series, with record hits of 1 million, published in January last year.
The movie is "A film about pure love which frames cross over, which people love and makes life shine, composed as a worldly theme. Of course it's eye-tearing."
The filming started at the end of March and will endure until May.
Sawajiri seems enthusiastic about her role: "This role differs from others I've played and I'm charmed by it, putting all my heart into the role in order to portray this character correctly, but I'm very fond of it. Certainly, look forward to it please." Production is expected to end in July, opening in theaters on September 29th.
